Whether you dream of luxuriating in a spa, diving into the deep blue or sampling the rustic charms of the countryside, join the Malaysia, My Dream Destination contest and you may get a chance to live your dream.
MATTA is organizing the Malaysia, My Dream Destination contest at the MATTA Fair held at Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) from 5 till 7 September 2014.
The contest is divided into three (3) themes: Luxurious Malaysia, Adventurous Malaysia and Wallet-Friendly Malaysia.
Winners will be sent on an all-expenses-paid trip based on their winning theme. To top it off, they will also receive digital recording equipment worth RM4,000, by GoPro3, the camera for action video photography.
One (1) winner will be selected for each holiday theme.
WHAT MUST YOU DO TO WIN A HOLIDAY OF YOUR DREAMS?
Plan your holiday itinerary around any of the three (3) themes below within the allocated budget for each category. You may choose to participate in more than one (1) theme.
Luxurious Malaysia
Budget allocated - RM10,000
Home to several world-class resorts with international accolades, Malaysia offers some of the most luxurious holidays that any high-end tourist can ask for. Indulge in a luxurious spa vacation where you get the royal treatment or wine and dine in the finest establishments. Go on and spoil yourself in the ultimate dream holiday.
Adventurous Malaysia
Budget allocated – RM5,000
For those with an adventurous spirit, there is no better place than Malaysia for an adrenaline pumping holiday. Scale the highest peak in South East Asia, dive into the crystal clear seas and trek through the pristine tropical rainforest; there are fun and exciting activities aplenty to thrill the hearts of adventure seekers. You are only limited by what you dare take on.
Wallet Friendly Malaysia
Budget allocated – RM2,000
Malaysia is no less exciting when travelling on a limited budget. Traverse the length of the Peninsular Malaysia in a train, experience the hospitality of a ‘kampung’ home-stay and enjoy culinary delights at the humble hawkers’ stalls. You’ll be surprised by how much you can do with so little.
Are you ready to do what it takes to win your dream holiday?
Here is what you have to do in 5 easy steps:
Step 1: Register at the Malaysia, My Dream Destination contest counter at Booth# 4135-4140, Hall 4, PWTC.
Step 2: Visit any domestic travel agents’ booths and pick the holiday packages befitting the theme of your choice.
Step 3: Create a ‘Wish List’ of the places and activities you plan to do on your dream holiday. List the itinerary and value of the holiday package you have selected in the ‘Wish List’. For example, if you choose Luxurious Malaysia. You may find XXX Travel Agent’s Mulu’s Pinnacles Trails with a price of RM3,500 and YYY Travel Agent’s romantic sunset dinner and dance on yatch off the Kota Kinabalu coast with cost RM2,000 plus other itinerary as you add on to a maximum of RM10,000.
Step 4: Submit your completed contest form to the Malaysia, My Dream Destination contest counter by 6 p.m. on 7 September 2014.
Step 5: Present the ‘Wish List’ that you have created in a short video interview at the contest booth.
Winners will be selected by a panel of judges comprising MATTA and Tourism Malaysia officials.
Entries will be judged on the following criteria:
- Originality and creativity in creating their ‘Wish List’ according to the selected theme.
- Presentation style and appeal of the video interview.
