KOTA KINABALU: Sabah’s Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) Fair 2019, Malaysia’s largest nationwide consumers’ travel fair is back on May 10-12 at the ITCC, Penampang.
The much-anticipated travel fair will continue to meet and satisfy consumers’ demand by providing variety of value-for-money domestic and international packages, organising chairperson Alicia Gomes said yesterday.
“Over the years, our event has continued to grow as exhibitors from tourism related companies, including MATTA members have taken up 115 booths overall, compared to 102 booths last year,” Alicia disclosed.
As usual, she said this year participations are coming from travel agents and hoteliers from Sabah, Sarawak, and Peninsular Malaysia as well as several national tourism organisations (NTOs) from Macao and Indonesia.
MATTA Sabah believed the collaboration and support from exhibitors, sponsors, and Sabah Government as well as NTOs will bring greater success to the fair and will continue to contribute the growth of domestic and inbound tourism in our country.

During the three-day exhibition, she said visitors who spend RM500and above will stand a chance to win lucky draw prizes ranging from return air tickets for domestic and international destinations sponsored by various airlines.
Other prizes include overseas ground arrangements, local hotel stays, discount vouchers on tours and many more. She said MATTA Sabah is also working closely with the local tourism institutions and during the fair, tourism students will be assigned to promote and manage the event to gain exposure and practical training.
