Sarawak Matta Fair 2017 from March 10-12

KUCHING: Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (Matta) Sarawak Chapter announced that the Sarawak Matta Fair 2017 will be held at Main Promotional Hall, Boulevard Shopping Mall Kuching from March 10-12.

Its organising chairman Lina Tsen said the upcoming 10th Sarawak Matta Fair will be the first held for this year.

“Sarawak Matta Fair is recognised as the major event for Sarawak Chapter every year and known as a great event which provides amazing opportunities and exciting holiday packages, flight offers, lucky draw and several other activities,” she said at a press conferences held at the new Matta Sarawak Chapter Office in Trinity Hub Commercial Centre, here, yesterday.

This year’s 10th edition of Sarawak Matta Travel Fair has drawn 20 participants from throughout the region and the fascinating 3-day event from 10am to 10pm showcases different mix of adventurous and exciting travel packages at affordable prices and discounts.

“This is an opportunity for both Sarawak Matta members and non-travel organisations (NTOs) to benefit from this well-established travel fair with high sales turnover.”

Tsen disclosed that they had invited travel and tourism-related businesses to participate and engage in this fair, and encouraged the public to attend the fair to converse, network and learn more about what this fair has to offer and also get the latest travel information, including promo fares.

“In keeping with the tradition, the organiser also provides an opportunity for the public to participate in the 3-day Matta Fair Lucky Draw.”

Tsen said the prizes will be sponsored by Merdeka Palace, Lime Tree Hotel, Aiman Batang Ai Resort and Retreat, and Sarawak River Cruise.

“We also welcome more organisations as our sponsors as they will be recognised by the guests attending and everyone involved in this event,” she added.

Tsen encouraged members of the public to come as entrance is free, saying everybody is invited to visit the fair to get insight into the tourism sector and find various wonderful offers perfect for holidays.

Another edition of Matta Fair 2017 will be held in Miri in May and Kuching in September.
