ROYAL Caribbean International (RCI) has returned for the second time as the Official Cruise for the MATTA Fair September 2017 edition.
If you missed the ship in March, RCI Ltd Asia Pacific managing director Sean Treacy assures there are more attractions this time around.
“The cruise line will kick-start its 2017/2018 South-East Asian season in September with 76 sailings for Malaysians to choose from three different ships.
“We will be in the region for 10 months, making it the longest season we have ever had in South-East Asia,” he said.
The cruise line will begin with the 3,807-guest Mariner of the Seas, which will return for her final season in the region on Sept 10.
Lining a total of 56 sailings from the Singapore homeport until April 2018, the ship offers a mix of three to seven-night itineraries to popular destinations such as Phuket and Laem Chabang in Thailand, Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, Penang, Port Klang, and Langkawi.
This will be followed by a five-night cruise from Singapore to Penang and Phuket on April 9, 2018 by the Ovation of the Seas.
The 4,905-guest ship is Asia’s largest and most revolutionary cruise ship, said Treacy.
Coming in with 18 sailings is the third ship, Voyager of the Seas, between April and June 2018 from Singapore.
The 4,269-guest ship has four-, five and eight-night itineraries to destinations such as Penang, Phuket and Bangkok.
The cruise line has various amenities including the Royal Promenade lined with duty-free shops and cafes, an ice skating rink, skydiving and surfing simulators, bumper cars, robotic bartenders, rock climbing, mini golf course and state-of-the-art gym.
There is also the Broadway entertainment with different shows every night, while movie buffs can watch their movies under the stars at the pool deck while sailing.
“We also have a partnership with DreamWorks Entertainment so passengers can interact with characters such as Kung Fu Panda, Shrek and their friends. The children can even have breakfast with Shrek!
“Our cruise line has something for everyone, especially if there are families on board,” said Treacy.
He added that meals were included and the amenities and entertainment were free of charge.
Prices for the cruise packages start from RM788.
RCI will be at booths 3060 to 3063 in Hall 3 during the MATTA Fair next week.
RCI will be offering a virtual reality experience to visitors at the fair so they can feel what it is like to be on a cruise.
They can get a virtual taste of the Royal Caribbean cruise experience and first-at-sea innovations experience with interactive games, videos and images.
As RCI enters its 10th anniversary in the Asia Pacific, it will be offering attractive promotions such as RM28 kids fare, 50% off second guest (seniors’ special) and savings of up to 60%.
The MATTA Fair September 2017 will take place at Putra World Trade Centre, Kuala Lumpur, from Sept 8 to 10, from 10am to 9pm. Admission is RM4 per person and free for children aged below 12.
